Ely Friedman
FOUNDER & MANAGING DIRECTOR
Ely founded Truce Capital Advisors after serving as the Director of M&A for a regional accounting firm for 5+ years. Prior to that, he served multiple groups at Bank of America and with another boutique investment bank.
Ely joined the financial services industry immediately after graduating from Queens University of Charlotte in North Carolina, where he was a two-sport college athlete. His experience is focused primarily on lower middle-market businesses generating less than $250 million in annual sales.
Ely is an avid outdoorsman who enjoys hunting, hiking, and staying active with golf and tennis. Ely maintains an admirable workout routine, largely with the local F3 charity group where he held leadership roles. Ely is incredibly responsive and dedicated to his clients / referral partners. When Ely isn’t supporting his clients, he’s enjoying time with his wife and daughter.

Ryan Berning
VICE PRESIDENT
Ryan is a Vice President and founding member of Truce Capital Advisors. He is an accomplished professional with broad transactional and investment experience across the private equity and M&A spheres.
Prior to joining Truce, Ryan worked at a large private-equity backed company (BrightView - Shore Capital Partners) where he led seven (7) acquisitions. Prior to BrightView, he worked at Liberty Hall Capital Partners, a private equity group with ~$550 million in assets under management. Prior to Liberty Hall, Ryan worked at Harris Williams and SunTrust Robinson Humphrey (now Truist) where he focused on Mergers & Acquisitions advisory services for businesses between $100 million and $2 billion.
Ryan is a local Cincinnati native and a St. Xavier graduate. Ryan graduated from the University of Richmond, where he played Division I Lacrosse. Socially, Ryan enjoys golfing, coaching, and spending time with his friends and family.
